Gear bench metal lathe Fervi 0506

The Fervi 0506 gear bench metal lathe with gear transmission is a solution that allows you to work metal materials by cold chip removal. It is a machine with manual operation only, which can perform movements only through the direct command of the operator. This type of machinery allows the realization of machining, on ferrous metal materials, such as cylindrical and conical turning, profiling, threading, facing, drilling and boring, cutting and parting. The use of the machine is recommended in an intermittent mode throughout the day and not continuously, as it is designed to be used as a service machine and not for production.

The head of the Fervi gear bench metal lathe is made of high-strength cast iron and inside it includes two protrusions that allow to increase its rigidity by reducing vibrations during high-speed machining. The spindle is installed on the head shaft and is self-centering with 3 jaws with a diameter of 100 mm.

The cast iron tool holder trolley slides along the guides and serves to fix the tool and transmit the movement and feed motions. The advances of the trolley take place by means of special handwheels. The speed change of the feeds is by gears, positioned inside the gearbox in the left end of the machine. The lathe is in fact equipped with metal gears capable of guaranteeing a considerable availability of feeds and threads. The gears are lubricated automatically during their rotation.

The tailstock of the lathe is also made of cast iron. It allows to ensure rigidity and stability of the machined piece in all conditions of use. The body of the tailstock is equipped with a locking system on the guides of the theory with a nut and its movement takes place using a crank.

The spindle rotation speed is managed by an electronics that controls DC motors with brushes. The transmission ratio occurs by means of gears with a two-position lever (L: 100 ÷ 1100 rpm and H: 200 ÷ 2500 rpm). In the control panel there is also the potentiometer that allows starting the machine and selecting the rotation speed (within the range selected through the two-position lever). The potentiometer varies the voltage on the motor by reducing the speed and is flanked by a display that shows the number of revolutions.

The electrical and control panel is located on the left side of the gear bench metal lathe. Finally, the engine of the machine is 230 V 50 Hz 0,6 kW, and can therefore be powered through an electrical socket.
