Gear bench metal lathe Fervi 0716S
In stock
The Fervi 0716S gear bench metal lathe, equipped with gear transmission, is a tool that allows you to work on metals by removing cold shavings. Thanks to this type of tool it is possible to perform cylindrical and conical turning, profiling, threading, facing, drilling, boring and cutting. It is an ideal tool to carry out intermittent machining, therefore not suitable for production or industrial departments where the work of the machine is continuous. The operation of the machine is completely manual, in fact the direct command of the operator is always necessary for the movements to be carried out.
The cast iron body of the Fervi lathe head, thanks to the presence of two protrusions, increases rigidity by reducing vibrations during machining. The spindle is mounted on the head shaft which allows you to clamp and hold any workpiece in place. This model is equipped with a 3-jaw self-centering chuck, ideal for locking and centering all circular or polygonal pieces whose number of sides is divisible by 3.
The spindle rotation speed is managed by an electronics that controls DC motors with brushes. Thanks to a two-position lever it is possible to determine the gear transmission ratio and obtain two rotation speed ranges: L: 100 ÷ 1100 rpm and H: 200 ÷ 2500 rpm. A potentiometer is positioned in the control panel which allows both to start the parallel lathe and to select the rotation speed (within the range selected by means of the two-position lever). The potentiometer varies the voltage on the motor by reducing the speed and is flanked by a display that shows the number of revolutions.
The trolley has the function of fixing the tool and transmitting the movements of positioning and advancement. Its components are made of cast iron. with hardened and ground guides capable of guaranteeing stability. The advancement of the trolley takes place by means of handwheels. The box for the change of feed speed, with replaceable gears, is located on the left side of the machine. The gears are capable of guaranteeing a considerable availability of feeds and threads.
The tailstock is present to keep the piece that is machined on the gear bench metal lathe on the side opposite the spindle firm. Its body, made of cast iron, allows for rigidity and stability in all conditions of use. The body of the tailstock is also equipped with a locking system for the lathe guides, with a nut. Its handling takes place by means of a crank.
The motor of this gear bench metal lathe model requires 230 V 50 Hz 0.6 kW power supply. The electrical panel is positioned on the left side of the machine, between the spindle and the gearbox.
