Metal lathe Fervi T940

The Fervi T940 metal lathe is a tool that allows the processing of metal parts by performing turning (both cylindrical and conical), facing, profiling, drilling, boring, threading and parting. It is the ideal solution for all workshops, laboratories or production sectors that need to carry out occasional work on metal parts. In fact, this type of machine must be considered for service and not for production, therefore its use is recommended for intermittent and non-continuous periods of time.

The structure of the metal lathe is made up of a bearing bed made of cast iron. In its upper part there are prismatic guides that ensure the movement and alignment of the driving head with the carriage and the moving head. The Fervi lathe is equipped with safety devices such as protection screens and emergency brakes, and a led lamp on the machine that allows the work performed to be made more visible.

The tool holder trolley slides along the guides of the pallet and is necessary to fix the tool and transmit the positioning and advancement motions to it. The position of the carriage and the tool holder slides can be adjusted thanks to the levers and handwheels located on the carriage itself. Furthermore, the metal lathe is equipped with gears (with Semi-Norton box) capable of guaranteeing a considerable availability of feeds and threads (metric and inch). The selection of the steps takes place through two rotary knob selectors. There is also a third lever selector for selecting the feed mode: normal feed and thread feed.

The tailstock is complete with manual controls (levers, handwheels and screws) that allow fine adjustment and advancement. In addition, the Fervi lathe equipped with steady rests (fixed and mobile) to manage drilling, boring and facing and all those operations in which it is not possible to use the tailstock to fix the workpiece. In addition, steady rests prove necessary when machining long and heavy workpieces.

Two different spindles are included in the standard equipment. One consisting of 3 self-centering jaws, the other of 4 independent type jaws. The panel for adjusting the spindle rotation speed (obtained by means of a gear speed change) is equipped with a lever for selecting the desired rotation speed and one for the direction of rotation of the spindle. Furthermore, some models are equipped with a potentiometer and inverter: the potentiometer allows you to select the rotation speed accurately while the inverter allows you to change the speed while keeping the power constant. In addition, the mechanical brake with pedal activation, if necessary, slows down or completely stops the rotation of the spindle.

The Fervi metal lathe is available with 230 V motor in the basic version, but it is also available in the version equipped with inverter.
