Steel modular spill containment platform

The steel modular spill containment platform is made entirely of galvanized steel and thanks to its modularity can meet ever-changing requirements. It is suitable for small spaces as well as very spacious warehouses. It represents the indispensable solution for company safety: it allows the safe storage of drums and other containers, ensuring that any leaks of liquids and hazardous substances do not reach the ground but are collected in a suitable place. In Italy, this type of flooring is not suitable for the storage of 1000 liter IBCs as each individual flooring element has a lower capacity than that required by the italian law.

To create the floor with a modular spill containment platform, it is necessary to start with the choice of the flooring elements, available in the dimensions 1400x1400, 1900x1400, 2900x1400 and 2900x1900 mm. Each flooring element must be fixed to the floor with at least 4 fastening elements. In order to create large surfaces it is possible to join several flooring elements across the side of equal dimensions and using two spacers.

When joining two flooring elements a joint element must be used, therefore, to join two flooring elements from the 1400 mm side, a 1400 mm joint element must be used. If four flooring elements are joined together, a cross element will be mandatory in the center.

To allow easier access to the floor with modular spill containment platform even when transporting drums and containers on trolleys, it can be equipped with access ramps (to be chosen according to the size of the flooring element), to be completed with the corner element when necessary.
