Steel spill sump for underneath the rack for 4 IBCs

The steel spill sump for metal storage shelves is the painted steel solution indispensable when IBCs containing potentially hazardous substances are stored on shelving. The use of this product makes it possible to contain possible spills, limiting damage to the environment but also to operators. 

The structure of the spill sump tank makes it ideal for placement at the base of 4 IBC shelving units, in compliance with environmental protection and workplace safety regulations, i.e. Italian Leg. Decree no. 152/2006 (environmental protection) and Italian Leg. Decree no. 81/2008 (workplace safety). According to these regulations, the spill pallet must be able to hold the greater of the volume of the largest container and 1/3 of the total stored volume. 

The dimensions of the under-shelf steel spill sump are 2670x1300x510 mm and the collection capacity is 1350 litres. Made of painted steel, the tub is available in RAL2004 orange. The robust steel construction makes the product perfect for use in industrial environments.

In addition to the steel spill sump structure, it is also possible to purchase the galvanised steel grid accessory that allows containers to be placed on it. The spill pallet is designed in accordance with Italian regulations, which require a containment capacity equal to the higher of 33% of the total stored volume and the volume of the single largest container. It is recommended that, in case of use outside the Italian territory, the local regulations in force regarding containment should be consulted.
