The vertical ladder with safety cage Security System is a solution that allows you to reach high altitudes in total safety. It is equipped with a protective cage made entirely of aluminium, without welding, which is easy to assemble thanks to the exclusive double interlocking ring system. Thanks to this system, the ladder is solid and compact and reduces space requirements during transport and storage. It is ideal for reaching heights where periodic maintenance is required, such as silos, extraction systems and machinery.
The assembly of the vertical ladder is very simple. In fact, it is based on an innovative system of shaped and pre-drilled horizontal rings, fixed to vertical ribbed supports by means of special fittings. These intersect geometrically to form the protective cage. The ladder must be anchored to the wall using the standard metal brackets supplied as part of the standard equipment (length 22.8 cm, i.e. for a wall/step distance of 18 cm). If the distance between the steps and the wall is greater, brackets of adjustable length can be purchased as an optional extra to be mounted instead of the standard brackets (still supplied as standard).
Italian Standard and European Standard cage ladders are available for access/disembarking heights up to 20.10 m. The access/disembarking height corresponds to where the operator steps off the ladder. The ladder is chosen depending on the access/disembarking height the operator needs to reach. The access/disembarking heights have a range of 30 cm corresponding to the ladder pitch.
For the use of the vertical ladder within Italian territory, it is imperative that the Italian standard model D.lgs 81/2008 is used. The European standard model, on the other hand, complies with EN 14122-4 and German standard DIN 18799. This model has also been tested by TÜV SÜD. In the Italian standard model, the ring that makes up the cage is 600 mm wide, while in the European standard model it is 700 mm wide.
The non-slip steps of the vertical ladder measure 30x30 mm and have a pitch of 300 mm. In addition, the following accessories are available for purchase: a hatch resting platform (for use, please consult local guidelines). an anti-intrusion gate with padlock holder (padlock not included) and a terminal landing with railing and gate (can be installed at any time by removing the supports from the last ring and inserting the castings that hold the new railings onto the landing handrails).
