Wood lathe Fervi 0758 with drive belt

The Fervi 0758 wood lathe is the ideal machine for turning, facing or profiling operations on pieces of wood. It is in fact a machine, with a horizontal axis, which allows you to work wood by removing shavings. The cutting motion is given by the motion of the workpiece rotating on its axis. This type of instrument is completely manual operation. In fact, it can only perform movements on direct command from the operator. This machine represents a service machine and not a production machine, and is therefore suitable for intermittent and non-continuous processing throughout the working day.

This model of wood lathe is equipped with a support base that must be installed and used on flat surfaces. The spindle, installed on the shaft of the head, consists of a plate with holes that are used to fix the workpiece. To protect the area surrounding the spindle, there is an interlocked mobile guard consisting of a plexiglass screen, equipped with a safety microswitch.

To allow the machining to be carried out, the wood lathe is equipped with a sliding carriage, which allows the tool to rest while turning. The different parts that make up the support are made of cast iron, with ground guides and therefore ensure high stability during use. The tailstock with cast iron body ensures rigidity and stability in all conditions of use.

The spindle rotation speed transmission system is belt driven. The distance between the tips of the wood lathe is 1100 mm while their height is 185 mm. The maximum turning diameter, on the other hand, is 370 mm.
