Stackable drum supports

The oil drum suppport are the superimposable solutions to store drums, baskets and small containers and optimize the available spaces. They are the perfect products when the space available is very limited, but it can be exploited in height. In fact, the structure allows you to place multiple supports one on top of the other, occupying every centimeter. Furthermore, the supports can be positioned on a safety tank that contains accidental spills during the storage and tapping operations of the drums.

Positioning drum supports on a sump pallet makes the storage and transfer operations safe: by collecting accidental spills, the tank prevents chemical and dangerous liquids from reaching the ground by entering into the circulation in the subsoil and in the aquifers, in line with current regulations on the subject of hygiene, safety and respect for the environment.

The stackable drum supports are available in models suitable for horizontal storage of drums and baskets: the special locking brackets allow them to be positioned above the containment tanks in a stable manner. In addition, models suitable for vertical storage of small containers are also available.

The wide range is complete with drum supports made of anti-corrosive polyethylene and steel. Furthermore, it is possible to create the storage station with the perfect collection tank for every need by choosing the type and quantity of supports that make it up.

What are stackable drum supports?

Stackable drum supports are structures designed to support and store industrial drums (typically ranging from 60 to 200 liters) in a horizontal position, while allowing them to be stacked on multiple levels. This feature allows for the optimization of vertical space in warehouses or production areas, while keeping the drums easily accessible for transfer and dispensing operations. Typically made of steel or chemical-resistant materials, they ensure stability, safety, and more organized management of industrial liquids.

When is it better to choose a stackable drum support instead of a standard one?

Stackable models are ideal when floor space is limited: they allow you to utilize vertical space and increase storage capacity without expanding the area occupied.

How many drums can I store on a stackable drum support?

It depends on the model: there are versions for 1, 2, or 3 drums (200 or 60 liters), with the option to stack them on multiple levels, always adhering to the specified load capacity. For the available models, the maximum stacking height is 2 levels.

Is it better to choose a steel or polyethylene stackable drum support?

The choice depends on both the intended use and the type of liquids contained in the drums, particularly their chemical aggressiveness.

  • Steel: Ideal for standard industrial applications involving oils, lubricants, or non-aggressive liquids. They offer high mechanical strength, excellent stability, and a higher load capacity, making them perfect for production environments, warehouses, and situations where drums are frequently handled.
  • Polyethylene (HDPE): These are the best solution when handling aggressive, corrosive, or chemical liquids (such as acids or hazardous substances). This material is corrosion-resistant, does not rust, and ensures greater durability even in harsh environments or those exposed to chemicals.
Is it necessary to use a spill pallet the stackable drum supports?

Yes, in most cases it is strongly recommended and often mandatory to use a spill pallet under drum supports, especially when storing oils, chemicals, or potentially polluting liquids. The spill pallet is designed to collect any leaks, drips, or accidental spills, preventing liquids from ending up on the floor or in the ground, which could lead to environmental and safety risks.

What types of stackable drum supports are available?

Four types of stackable drum supports are available:

  • Stackable floor-standing supports with a galvanized steel spill pallet without a grid: this is the affordable entry-level solution, ideal for functional and safe storage without the need for complex configurations. They are easily placed on the floor and can be combined with a simple galvanized steel spill containment tray without a grid. Models are available for 2 x 200-liter drums and for 3 x 60-liter drums.
  • Stackable supports for placement on a painted steel spill pallet with grid: a more advanced and modular solution, designed to be placed on top of a painted spill pallet with grid and secured using the appropriate fastening kit. More complex configurations (a mix of different support types) can be created for environments requiring greater storage capacity and organization. Models for 1, 2, or 3 x 200-liter drums and for 3 x 60-liter drums.
  • Stackable, forklift-accessible, and palletizable racks: a solution designed for forklift access. To be placed on a painted steel spill pallet with a grid. One model for 2 x 200-liter drums.
  • Stackable polyethylene supports: suitable for storing aggressive or corrosive liquids. They offer high chemical resistance and are not subject to corrosion.
