Conductive containers and boxes

The conductive containers and boxes for electronics are the solutions specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharges that may form as a result of friction and handling. They are particularly suitable for use in the departments and warehouses of companies in the electronics and logistics sector and in general for EPA areas (ESD protected areas). The range consists of ESD boxes with lids and open fronted ESD boxes, thus offering various storage solutions.

The special material from which the conductive containers for electronics are made is ESD-conductive polypropylene; this is a high-quality plastic polymer to which additives are added that neutralise and rapidly dissipate electrostatic discharges. ESD containers can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +60 °C and are easily sanitised using products without aggressive chemicals.

The conductive containers are manufactured in accordance with the framework standard CEI EN 61340-5-1 (reference IEC 61340-2-3). This standard establishes the criteria to be adopted for a correct handling of Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices (ESDs), as well as the technical requirements to be met during manufacture.

Among the many advantages of using conductive containers in the electronics industry, in addition to minimising losses and waste due to electrostatic damage, are the lightness of the material, standard and Euro-pallet compatible dimensions, resistance to intensive use, and the possibility of stacking multiple units.
