Open fronted ESD boxes 160/140 x 95 H 75 mm

The open-fronted ESD boxes are compact solutions designed for manufacturers in the electronics, packaging, renewable energy and general industry sectors. Unintentional electrical discharges will often permanently damage electronic materials, leading to losses and discards. Made of ESD plastic, these boxes are essential elements for fully equipped ESD protected areas (EPA) where sensitive electronic components can be reliably transported, stored and shipped. Assembly workers can thus operate safely and efficiently with state-of-the-art and always tidy picking stations.

Moulded from ESD (Electro Static Discharge) conductive polypropylene - a high quality plastic polymer with anti electrostatic discharge additives - with a smooth bottom, the open-fronted ESD boxes are suitable for use on conveyor rollers. In addition, their design facilitates sanitising, which is recommended without the use of aggressive chemicals.

Thanks to their reinforced edges, they are perfectly stackable and guarantee high stability with a load capacity of up to 2 kg individually and 12 kg when stacked. The dimensions of the open-fronted ESD boxes are 160/140 x 95 H 75 mm. They weigh just 87 grams and have a volume of 1 litre. The intended use temperature ranges from -20°C to +60°C. The open-fronted ESD boxes are designed and manufactured according to the CEI EN 61340-5-1 standard (ref. IEC 61340-2-3), which provides the technical requirements to be met in the manufacture of ESD equipment as well as criteria for the proper handling of ESDs (Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices).
