Wood band saw Fervi 0509

The wood band saw by Fervi is a machine conceived to cut pieces of wood in flat and curved panels or in square or rectangular boards. This type of tool can be used in craftsmen's workshops and laboratories, as well as in production departments. This type of equipment is designed to be used intermittently throughout the day and not continuously. It is in fact considered a service machine and not a production machine. Furthermore, by replacing the band saw blade, the machine can also be used to cut plastic materials and aluminium alloys.

The wood band saw is made up of the frame and the mountable base, the tilting work table with the lever for pushing the workpieces, the electric motor, the flywheel and the pulleys for dragging the cutting band. The start and stop buttons are also wired in series with two safety microswitches that detect the opening of the pulley compartment. There is no control to adjust the blade rotation speed, as the motor works at a constant speed.

There are 3 different wood saw models available, which differ in their cutting capacity. Depending on the model selected, in fact, the dimensions of the work table and the cutting capacity are such that pieces of wood with a rectangular cross-section can be processed with a maximum size of 245x100 mm, 305x165 mm or 340x225 mm.

Finally, the wood band saw must be connected to a sawdust extraction system before each use. The pipe used for the connection must have a diameter of approximately 6 cm, and must be connected to the suction nozzle located at the bottom of the machine.
