The wood band saw is part of the essential equipment in workshops, craft workshops or production departments. It is a machine designed for cutting wood pieces that come in flat and curved panels, square and rectangular boards. This type of machinery is to be considered a service and not a production machine, therefore it is designed to carry out work intermittently throughout the day and not continuously.

The structure of the band saw machine consists of a frame with a fixed base, a pivoting work table with a lever for pushing the workpieces, an electric motor and pulleys for dragging the cutting band. The machine is also equipped with start and stop buttons that are wired in series with a safety microswitch that detects the opening of the pulley compartment. The machine motor runs at a constant speed, and there is no control for adjusting the blade speed.

This model of wood band saw, at the bottom of the machine, on the side of the electric motor, has the suction nozzle to which the suction hose must be connected. The saw must necessarily be connected to a sawdust suction device before each use.

Two different models of wood band saw are available, which differ in the different cutting capacities they can achieve. The first model has a cutting capacity of 350x200 mm, while the second can cut pieces of wood up to 445x300 mm.
