The wood band saw by Fervi is a tool designed to allow wood to be cut into flat and curved panels or into square and rectangular boards. In fact, this type of machine has a work table with dimensions such as to allow the cutting of pieces of wood with a circular section with a maximum diameter of 150 mm and with a rectangular section with a maximum size of 300x155 mm. This type of saw is designed as a service machine, so its use must be intermittent during the day and not continuous, as it is not a production machine.

The wood sawing machine has a structure consisting of a mountable base, a pivoting work table, a lever for pushing the workpieces, an electric motor, a flywheel and pulleys for driving the blade. There are also start and stop buttons, which for safety are wired in series with a safety microswitch that detects if the pulley compartment is opened. In this type of machine there is no blade rotation speed adjustment, in fact the saw motor works at a constant speed.

It is essential before each use of the wood band saw that it is connected to a device that sucks up the sawdust. The connection to the suction device hose is made through the suction nozzle, which is located at the bottom of the machine. In addition, the hose must have a diameter of approx. 100 mm.

This wood band saw model has a working table that measures 400x500 mm and is inclinable by 0 to 20°. The supplied blade measures 2240 x 12.7 x 0.5 mm and works at a cutting speed of 6-12 m/s.
