Wood band saw Fervi FC94

The wood band saw by Fervi is a machine tool that can be used in settings such as craftsmen's workshops, but also in production departments. The important thing to consider is that this machine is not a production machine but a service machine. Therefore, it is essential that it performs intermittent work during the working day and not continuous work. This kind of equipment is designed to allow wood to be cut into flat and curved panels as well as square and rectangular boards.

The structure of the wood band saw consists of the frame with mountable base, the work table and lever to push the pieces, electric motor, flywheel, pulleys to drag the cutting band. There are also switches to turn the machine on and off, which, to ensure the safety of those using it, are wired in series with a safety micro-switch to detect the opening of the pulley compartment.

Two different sawing machine models are available; depending on the model chosen and the relative dimensions of the work table, the cutting capacity for pieces with a rectangular section will be 350x120 or 245x120. For circular workpieces, on the other hand, both models can cut workpieces with a maximum diameter of 120 mm. Furthermore, the table of the RFC94350 model is made of cast iron, while that of the RFC94245 model is made of aluminium.

The motor of the wood band saw works at a steady speed and in fact there are no mechanisms for adjusting the speed of the blade. Furthermore, the saw must be connected to a sawdust extraction system before each machining operation. The pipe used for the connection must have a diameter of 6 cm for both available models.
