The cut-off machine Fervi is a product designed for dry cutting metallic materials. This type of machine allows only vertical cuts to be made and the workpiece can be inclined up to 45°. The electric motor runs at a constant speed and together with the circular blade it is mounted on the cutting unit of the machine. The fixed base, on the other hand, is equipped with a vice for blocking the piece, while the manual start of the machine can be operated through the handle.
In fact, the buttons for starting the cut-off machine are positioned on the control handle, which allow the disc to be operated. In particular, there are two buttons, one for consent positioned on the side of the handle and a hold-to-run switch positioned under the handle. This system based on a double start command guarantees the operator's safety against accidental activations.
There are also disc protection casings as safety devices that provide the operator with protection against the mechanical risks of the cut-off machine. This system consists of fixed and mobile guards which have the task of preventing the operator from coming into direct contact with the cutting disc. They also have the task of preventing splinters, shavings or blade fragments from being thrown towards the operator's face.
The cut-off machine is supplied ready for use, equipped with an abrasive cutting disc measuring 355 x 3.0 x 25.4 mm. In addition, the package includes two hex wrenches and the spark arrestor bracket. The latter allows the sparks to be deflected downwards, avoiding contact with people or things positioned in the rear area of the cut-off machine.
