The bench geared drilling machine Fervi is a machine tool designed to perform simple operations such as drilling and milling. This machine allows you to carry out this type of processing on different materials, varying the tool according to the operations to be performed and the type of material. At the head there are a lever for varying the transmission ratio of the gears and a selector for setting the speed range. Within the speed range it is possible to adjust the spindle rotation speed through the potentiometer located at the bottom right of the control panel.
The rapid vertical advancement of the bench geared drilling machine’s spindle is possible thanks to the radial pattern. If this is rotated counter-clockwise, drilling operations can be carried out; if the handwheel is released, it automatically returns to the position of minimum extension of the sleeve. For the vertical movement of the head, on the other hand, there is a handwheel at the top of the rod that supports the head which allows for the vertical calibrated advancement.
The table of the bench drilling machine can be moved manually with longitudinal and transversal movements. The lateral handwheel allows calibrated longitudinal advancement, while the front one establishes the transversal calibrated advancement of the work table. The drill is also equipped with a ring with a graduated scale for adjusting the inclination of the machine head.
To perform a milling operation with the bench geared drilling machine it will be necessary to replace the supplied spindle with a milling tool. Once replaced, it will be necessary to block the rapid descent of the vertical sleeve and adjust the height by using the appropriate handwheel placed on top of the instrument. Subsequently, it will be possible to block the sliding of the table in a direction perpendicular to that in which the machining is to be carried out. At this point it will be possible to carry out the processing by moving the table in the desired direction through the appropriate handwheel.
