Planer thicknesser Fervi 0499
In stock
The planer thicknesser is a machine with which it is possible to plane a surface and give the worked piece of wood a specific thickness. It is a perfect tool for use in craftsmen's workshops, by hobbyists or in industrial departments. However, this type of machinery is to be considered a service and not a production machine, so it will have to carry out its work intermittently throughout the day and not continuously. The planer must be connected to a dust and swarf extraction device before each use.
The structure of the planer thicknesser consists of the main frame, infeed and outfeed worktops of the planer, thickness planer worktop and tilting guide, electric motor with its drive rollers, three-blade planer shaft, start and stop controls, and thickness adjustment devices. There are also protective guards to prevent the operator from coming into direct contact with the machine's transmission parts when it is operated.
During surface planing operations, the piece of wood is advanced over the planing shaft and the lower surface is planed. To adjust the thickness to be removed, simply adjust the height of the feed worktop. During thickness planing, on the other hand, it will be necessary to tilt the thickness planing worktops and the piece of wood to be worked will rest on the height-adjustable worktop of the planer and be advanced under the planing shaft so as to work the upper surface.
The planer thicknesser is supplied fully assembled and ready for use. The overall space occupied by the machine is 1290x550x1000 mm. The height of the worktops is 810 mm; the latter measure 310x1285 mm. Finally, the tool has a thickness capacity of 310x2.5x180 mm.
