Polystyrene sheets

Polystyrene sheets are the right tool to protect the goods that need to be handled and transported, both when they are shipped to another warehouse or to the retailer and when they are transported long distances to the end customer: they are perfect for example for e-commerce site shipments. By defending the sides of the product from any scratches or impacts, they protect a large area of the product and can be used individually if they are inserted inside a cardboard box, to immobilize the product.

Polystyrene sheets are produced with a non-toxic, resistant and waterproof material, versatile and suitable for various types of packaging. Also called ESP, i.e. Expanded Sintered Polystyrene, it is produced by blowing air into polystyrene pearls, which increase their volume by up to 50%. Expanded polystyrene is in fact made up of 2% synthetic material and 98% air.

The dimensions of the polystyrene sheets are 500 x 500 mm, thus being easily adaptable to any surface to be protected. Furthermore, it is possible to use expanded polystyrene panels in the construction sector to create the coat of buildings thanks to its heat-insulating properties, or to insert the panels between a wardrobe and the wall to allow correct air circulation.

The thickness of the expanded polystyrene sheets is 20 mm, a thickness suitable for perfectly protecting the packaged object even independently. However, if the product is particularly fragile or transport is risky, we recommend also using corners and profiles in order to completely cover the product thanks to even more high-performance packaging.
