Metal lathe chuck Fervi M005 3 reversible jaw self centering

The metal lathe chuck by Fervi is the self-centring system thanks to which it is possible to firmly hold workpieces being machined by tools such as the metal lathe. Thanks to this product, machining operations carried out with the lathe can be precise and safe. In order to work properly, this chuck model must be mounted on a flange that has a suitable diameter and is drilled compatible with the chuck.

To facilitate the insertion of the jaws, the metal lathe chuck body is engraved with the maximum rotation speed and the serial number of the jaw where it is to be inserted. The jaws are in fact numbered from 1 to 3 and consist of two parts: the jaw body and the false jaw, i.e. the lower part that can detach from the body. This makes it possible to change the jaws quickly without having to remove the entire jaw from the spiral chuck.

The jaws of the metal lathe chuck are mounted by inserting the jaw at the engraved serial number and turning the spanner to find the point where the spiral scroll starts to engage the jaw. To insert the remaining jaws, simply repeat the operation clockwise. Once all three jaws have been inserted, tighten the clamping fully to check that they are properly aligned.

You can choose between different metal lathe chuck models. Depending on the size of the workpiece, you can choose a chuck with a suitable diameter to grip it firmly. The standard scope of supply includes 3 full hard jaws - reversible outer jaws, clamping spanner and the screws for clamping the jaws.
