Metal lathe chuck Fervi M449 4+4 jaw self centering

The metal lathe chuck from Fervi is a precision tool with which it is possible to hold metal parts that are to be machined with machine tools such as lathes. Thanks to this tool, it is therefore possible to guarantee the necessary stability for workpieces to be machined during turning operations. To function properly, the chuck must be mounted on a flange that is turned and drilled according to the chuck model.

The body of the metal lathe chuck has an engraving indicating the maximum achievable rotation speed expressed in "rpm". A second engraving indicates the serial number of the jaw to be inserted. The jaws are numbered from 1 to 4 and have an identification number. The assembly of the jaws starts with jaw number 1. In addition, the chuck key is equipped with a safety spring that prevents it from sticking by mistake.

The assembly of the jaws is facilitated by the engravings that indicate the correct positioning of each jaw. The jaws should be inserted starting with jaw number 1 and continuing clockwise and engaged using the supplied spanner. Once all jaws have been inserted into the self centering chuck, they must be tightened to ensure that they are properly aligned.

It is possible to choose between different metal lathe chuck models that differ in their size and consequently in the size of the workpieces they allow to be machined. 4 inside jaws, 4 outside jaws and a clamping key are included in the standard equipment.
