The wood lathe chuck is a device that is indispensable when using machines such as the wood lathe. Thanks to this type of tool, in fact, it is possible to perform turning operations on wooden pieces. It consists of a platform with grooves and jaws that enable the workpiece to be gripped and held firmly. The 4 jaws open and close simultaneously in a concentric manner, which makes it possible to guarantee the centring of the workpiece to be machined.
The 4 jaws of the wood lathe chuck are reversible. They guarantee the stability of the workpiece and allow you to work in complete safety thanks to the firm grip. This tool is ideal when it is necessary to machine workpieces with a circular shape or with an irregular or polygonal cross-section, which have a number of sides divisible by 4.
Two lathe chuck models are available, which differ in diameter size. Both models provide a wide clamping range in both compression and expansion. Its steel composition gives it considerable strength and high durability over time.
The standard equipment of the wood lathe chuck includes spanners and service screws with which it is possible to open and close the jaws and perform all the service operations necessary for its use.
