Metal lathe chuck Fervi M049 3+3 jaw self centering

The metal lathe chuck is self-centering precision tool for stopping workpieces to be machined on metalworking machines such as lathes. It is therefore a very robust and stable device, as well as being very resistant. This chuck model must be mounted on a flange that is turned and drilled according to the diameter of the chuck and can be combined with either straight or reverse jaws.

There are engravings on the body of the chuck, one of which indicates the maximum attainable rotation speed and the other indicates the serial number of the jaw to be inserted. The jaws are numbered from 1 to 3 and have an identification number. The chuck key is equipped with a safety spring so that it cannot stick to the chuck by mistake.

To fit the jaws to the metal lathe chuck, it will be necessary to find the point on the chuck where the jaw serial number is inserted and insert the jaw corresponding to the engraved serial number. By turning the spanner, it will be necessary to look for the point where the spiral snail starts and insert the jaw at that point. The remaining jaws are to be mounted in a clockwise direction. To check the alignment of the jaws, close the clamping completely.

Different models are available, which differ in diameter and thus in the size of the workpieces they allow to be machined. Included in the standard equipment of the metal lathe chuck are: a set consisting of three jaws for insides, a set consisting of 3 jaws for outsides and a clamping spanner with safety spring.
