Metal lathe Fervi T900

The Fervi T900 metal lathe is the perfect tool when you need to work metals by performing processes such as cylindrical turning, facing, profiling, drilling, boring and threading. The recommended use is that of a service machine and not a production machine, in fact it is recommended not to use the machine continuously, but rather intermittently during the course of the working day. The operation of the machine is of the semi-automatic type as some longitudinal and transverse feedings of the carriage can be performed automatically.

The metal lathe structure comes with partially assembled bench with 3 drawers and cabinet. The parallel lathe is also equipped with various protection devices, such as screens that prevent operators from being hit by splinters or other debris or the emergency button. In addition, the supply includes a LED lamp to be able to easily see the work in progress.

The sliding tool trolley, along the guides of the pallet, is used to fix the tool and to transmit the positioning and advancement motions to it. To adjust the position of the carriage and the tool holder slides, the levers and handwheels placed on the carriage are used. Furthermore, the lathe is equipped with gears (with Semi-Norton box) that allow to obtain different types of feeds and threads. In fact, by using the knobs marked with Roman numerals and letters, the position and diameter of the gears are changed and different feeds and thread pitches are obtained.

The Fervi lathe is equipped with a tailstock whose fine adjustment and advancement are determined through manual controls (levers, handwheels and screws). Furthermore, the lathe is supplied complete with steady rests (fixed and mobile) to allow operations in which it is not possible to use the tailstock to fix the workpiece (e.g. drilling, boring and facing) or for the machining of long and heavy pieces. for which it is not enough to use only a self-centering chuck, but it is indeed necessary to fix the opposite end of the piece by means of a steady rest.

The standard equipment of the Fervi metal lathe includes two different spindles with a diameter of 160 mm. The spindles differ in the type of closure. In fact, one is self-centering with 3 jaws while the other is equipped with 4 independent reversible jaws. The different spindle speeds are obtained by means of transmission belts to be positioned in different ways according to what is indicated on the plate affixed to the control panel. There are 2 different versions of the parallel lathe: one is equipped with an inverter, which allows you to change the spindle rotation speed while keeping the power constant. In this model it is possible to vary the rotation speed within the selected range (given by the positioning of the belts): the speed variation takes place by means of a potentiometer flanked by a display that shows the speed.
