The Fervi T998 metal lathe is the ideal solution for machining metal pieces by performing turning, facing, profiling, drilling, boring, threading or parting operations. Ideal for use in workshops, artisan workshops or production departments, it represents a production support tool. It is in fact a service machine and not an ideal production machine, therefore, to be used intermittently and not continuously throughout the day. In addition, the machine is completely manual operation as it requires input from the operator to perform the movements.

Included in the equipment of the metal lathe there is a lamp on the machine that makes the processes that are carried out clearly visible. To cool the workpiece and the tool and at the same time favor the expulsion of shavings, there is a cooling system.

The Fervi lathe is supplied complete with a 3-jaw self-centering chuck, and a 4-jaw independent reversible chuck. Thanks to these tools it will be possible to fasten to the machine both pieces of regular shape and more irregular pieces. The spindle speed change is managed by an adjustable gear system thanks to the special lever on the control panel. Furthermore, the RT998400VI3A model is equipped with an inverter (which varies the spindle speed while keeping the power constant) it is also equipped with a potentiometer through which the number of revolutions is increased or decreased to adjust the speed within the range chosen through the lever. cited above. Next to the potentiometer is the display to monitor the number of revolutions. All models are equipped with a mechanical brake with pedal activation to slow down or stop the rotation of the spindle.

The tool trolley is necessary to fix the tool and transmit the positioning and advancement motions to it. The position of the carriage and of the tool holder slides are adjusted by means of the levers and handwheels placed on the carriage itself. Furthermore, the metal lathe is equipped with gears (with Semi-Norton box) that can be adjusted through 4 rotary knob selectors that allow to obtain different feeds and threads (metric and inch). There is also a fifth knob for selecting the direction of advancement of the carriage.

The tailstock is equipped with levers, handwheels and screws that control the fine adjustment and advancement. Furthermore, the parallel lathe is equipped with steady rests, one fixed and the other mobile, to manage the drilling, boring and facing operations together with all those in which it is not possible to use the tailstock to fix the workpiece. The bezels are indispensable in the processing of long and heavy pieces.
