Planer thicknesser Fervi 0749
In stock
The planer thicknesser allows a single machine to plane a surface and give a piece of wood a specific thickness. This type of tool is quite versatile and can be used by hobbyists, craftsmen or in production departments. However, the machine shall be considered as a service and not a production machine, so its use should be intermittent during the working day and not continuous. Furthermore, before each use, the planer must be connected to a dust and swarf extraction system.
The planer thicknesser consists of: a main frame, the infeed and outfeed worktops of the surface planer, an electric motor with its drive rollers, and the three-blade planer shaft. In addition, there are on/off controls and thickening adjustment devices. To ensure the safety of the operators using the machine, there is a protective guard that prevents the operator from coming into contact with the transmission parts.
With this machine, it is possible to carry out two different processes: surface planing and thickness planing. When surface planing is carried out, the worked piece of wood advances over the planing shaft, thus planing the lower surface. During thickness planing, on the other hand, the boards of the surface planing must be tilted, so that the piece of wood can rest on the height-adjustable board and advance under the planing shaft, thus planing the upper surface.
The dimensions of the planer thicknesser are 1050x485x800 mm, the height of the worktops is 810 mm and their dimensions are 1050x250 mm. The planer thicknesser is supplied fully assembled and ready for use.
