The vertical ladder with safety cage Self System is the quick-assembly solution in standard, pre-assembled modules that allows operators to work at high altitudes in complete safety. It is particularly useful where regular maintenance work is required, such as on silos, roofs or machinery. The ladder is equipped with a safety cage, which, thanks to the innovative Quick Screwing system developed by Svelt, can be assembled directly on site without the need to hire trained staff. The super-compact packaging volume of ladder, accessories and cage also allows for cost-effective and simplified transport.
All components of the vertical ladder are made of heavy-duty ribbed steel and have no welded seams, guaranteeing optimum durability and robustness over time. The safety cage is 600 mm deep, formed of 50x5 mm flat rings and 40x20 mm section vertical uprights, and can be installed from 1900 mm to 2500 mm from the ground. Many versions are available to achieve various access/landing heights from a minimum of 2.62/2.93 m to a maximum of 18.88/19.16 m. The access/landing height corresponds to where the operator rests their foot to step off the ladder.
All versions of the vertical ladder are equipped with sturdy 27x27 mm knurled rungs rebated to the 84x27 mm thickened vertical uprights, with a centre distance of 280 mm and a ladder trunk with an internal width of 510 mm. For safe use, the ladder must be fixed to the wall by means of the appropriate fixing brackets, supplied as standard in the standard 200 mm long stainless steel version (for a distance from the wall of 144 mm) or available as an option in the telescopic aluminum version (to be provided if the distance from the ladder to the wall is greater). Other accessories that can be ordered are the anti-intrusion gate, the trap-door rest platform and the landing handles.
The vertical ladder is a safe and quality Made in Italy product as it is manufactured in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008, and is supplied with a declaration and label of conformity. In compliance with the law, some models include a splitting module complete with a landing measuring 620x450 mm.
