Wood lathe Fervi 0648 with drive belt and duplicator

The wood lathe Fervi 0648 is a machine that runs on a horizontal axis and enables the machining of wood through the removal of chips. During machining, the cutting motion is given by the motion of the workpiece, which is machined and rotates on its own axis. It is a machine whose operation is completely manual as it only performs movements under the operator's command. This machine tool is designed to allow machining operations such as lathing, facing, profiling and copying to be carried out on all types of wood.

The backing pad of the wood lathe is installed on the head shaft, and is used to clamp the workpiece. To adjust the speed of rotation of the backing pad, simply use the lever located to the left of the spindle. There is also a sliding tool holder carriage for positioning the tool during lathing operations, a cast iron tailstock that ensures rigidity and stability, and a control panel for switching the machine on/off and adjusting the rotation speed.

This model of wood lathe also comes with a duplicator. The copying device, or duplicator, is a tool that allows the copying of a workpiece that has previously been lathed or of a pre-moulded template. This is done thanks to the presence of a sliding tool and a feeler that follows the shapes of the workpiece to be replicated, transferring them to the workpiece being machined.

This model of wood lathe has a centre distance of 1000 mm, the height between centres is 175 mm and the maximum lathing diameter is 350 mm. Finally, this type of machine is considered to be a service machine and not a production machine, therefore it is designed for intermittent use during the day and not continuous use.
